Christmas

My plans for Christmas break consist of taking a few days off  starting the 21st, then I will be  lazy.  Possibly running during those days before Christmas and playing video games. On the Christmas Eve I will be going to my grandma's house to have Christmas with her, opening presents and enjoying the company.  On Christmas Day I will be celebrating with my family ( Very early because my sister will force everyone up! :) ) and later that day we will be going up to Charlotte, MI to help my other grandma out with her Christmas meal.  On the 26th we will enjoy that meal, open presents and again enjoying the company of everyone around us.

My favorite cookie to make would probably be the 'ornament' cookie. It is my favorite ONLY because it is the biggest cookie cutter we have,  thus more cookie to eat :)

Profession Athlete or Musician

If I could be any profession athlete or musician in the whole entire world I would chose to be Pete Weber.  In the Bowling world he is probably the most fun to watch. Besides being an excellent bowler he also does a good job of getting the crowd pump up and having fun!  If I was ever to be on TV for Bowling someday, I would really like to have his energy. ( Not to mention his awesome bowling abilities.)

Mount Rushmore, a lot can be said about Mount Rushmore. It has the faces of four of the greatest presidents to never lead our country:  George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. I would like to visit this place because it is one of our older national landmarks and there is a lot of detail that is put into making something this large and I believe it honors our nation very well.  Also getting out of Michigan to see other states would be nice for a change. It is a national monument because Doane Robinson, who was known as the "Father of Mount Rushmore" wanted make a monument for all people to come and enjoy.

U of M/ OSU Game

Even though I don't care about who wins, if at least MSU beats both teams, this is the first game that Michigan has won against Ohio State, and it has been a pretty big deal! It has been a long time coming, and Ohio's reign wouldn't last forever.  I am happy for the Michigan fans, but at the same time again, I really don't care. It's not my team, MSU all the way!!  Thanksgiving was also celebrated very well. My dad has his 50th birthday too, so all in all a very good weekend indeed : )...

Turkey Day!

As the picture might suggest, Turkey Day is nearing! The day where its is ok to pig out on the best foods! Which in my case is not turkey, but is ham and chicken. It is not all about the food though, it is about spending time with family and catching up on old stories and bringing new memories to the table also. It is also about the naps and the football games and being lazy all day long.  Its a day that brought together natives and foreigners and the tradition is carried on by bringing families together.

Loosen Up, Lighten Up Day

I had no clue that this was Loosen Up, Lighten Up Day partially because I didnt know such a thing existed.  I thought it was quite Ironic because it is a Monday and usually Mondays are horrible! Today is not though, it has been a very good Monday ( knock on wood), not much homework at all, which is always a plus. I seriously wonder what this day is all about, is it to not let anything bother you? Take everything everyone says lightly? I dont know what it is but, it seems to be working on this November 14th!

My weekend 11/5-11/6

My weekend started with the intentions of being very smooth and no problems, but when is that ever reality am I correct? The weekend actually started off like this. I wake up at an early time, have shower and breakfast before Kendal and Justin arrive for the trip to MIS to watch the cross country team at the State Finals, sit and relax until I have to start my car for them, well, the car would not kick over to save my life and I ended up taking my dads car.  Kendal was also late so Justin and I had to pick her up at her house. Oh and by the way, my gas was practically on Empty. So we had to go get gas, BARELY meeting up with the team to follow them up.  All was good though, because we finally did meet up with the team and watched them run GREAT races at MIS. Later that night I went bowling and bowled alright.  The next day I watched my sisters in their Honors Band performance which was amazing! Also bowling excellent that day as well.

My Favorite Costume

The best costume that I have probably ever made and wore was the monster based out of the movie The Village. It was a boars head with sharp Freddy Kreuger nails, a black cape, a rib cage, and giant thorns sticking out of the back of the costume.  The costume in its entirety roughly took around 3 days to make not including gathering the materials, with all of the sewing, glueing, and innovatively recreating the monster took A LOT of effort from my mom and I.  It was made for a Halloween party my 7th grade year and it has served me well ever since.  The costume has broken down over the course of 5 years and I was not able to wear it this year, but I will sure remember all of the chances that I got to use it.

Imagination Station

The Anatomy and Exploring Tech class took a field trip to the Imagination Station, which I grew up mostly calling it COSI until it was bought out, and we spent all day there checking out the different exhibits such as Bodies Revealed, and Water Works.  The first place that we stopped by was the Bodies Revealed, and although it was very interesting the look of creepiness or disgust would NOT leave my face. Seeing ACTUAL bodies outside of glass cases or protected was very unnerving. The only way I made it through was telling myself, "This is not real, these bodies are just plastic".  I had no clue what to expect from this exhibit but i'm glad I did experience it.  It wouldn't be a field I would like to work in, but it was still fascinating observing every single part of the human body.  Did you know there are over 100 thousand miles of veins that run through the human body?  Neither did I until I went and read it for myself.  It was definitely a learning experience well worth my time.

The Best Present Ever!

The best present that I have probably recieved would be my driver's training money and certificates. Even though the classes were not the most fun thing to do in the world, driving has given me so much more freedom. It also means that I have matured enough to take on this big responsibility which I will not misuse.  My truck is also very nice to have because it gets to me to and from where I want to go.  Although I do wish for a vehicle that is better on gas, my truck will have to suffice for right now.

My Weekend 10/8-10/9

My weekend was excellent!!! It started off with an Aggie victory over the Madison Trojans on their own homecoming last Friday night. That was fun to watch, but the next day is where the real fun began.  The cross country team went to the Hudson invitational and did excellent! I ran the best time of my year so far 24:39 for 3.1 miles with the help of Erica Oram pushing me along all the way to the finish.  It was tiring, it was a very long 24 minutes but I stuck with it and ran my legs to the ground.  It was a very fun day. After that all of the teams came together to do line dances. The cupid shuffle, the cha cha slide, the makarina, and the love shack.  It was one of the best days I have had with this team. It will not soon be forgotten. On Sunday I went bowling, looked at cars with my dad, Preordered Forza 4 ( a car racing video game), and watching Top Gear until I fell asleep.  That was my weekend, well spent and lengthy, thank goodness!

Fall Homecoming 2011

Well, my favorite week of the fall has come and past...Homecoming. To make it even worse it is my last Fall homecoming for SC as a student, no doubt that I will becoming back next year, but it has a different feeling if you are not participating in events.  This last week for Spirit week was fun also, but I wasnt really prepared for any of the days. I tried my best and our class actually won a day!! Supporting victims of domestic violence. Let's see Duct tape day was probably the most fun more me because of my mustache and soul patch which got a lot of laughs. All in all it was a really good week at Sand Creek High School, the boys won the game, the band sounded awesome, and  I lost my voice going crazy for the team!! It is bitter sweet to think about but, my last Fall homecoming was great. :)

My First Video Blog

Not a bad attempt for my first video blog. Yes, I know not very many interesting things to see around our school, but it is quite entertaining. Enjoy!

MSU Bowling

It has been my dream ever since 9th grade to graduate from Sand Creek High School, go to Michigan State, and then become a member of a Big Ten bowling school.  To call myself a Spartan bowler would be the coolest feeling ever.  Some do not consider bowling a sport or acknowledge it very much, but I ask them this. What are your chances of becoming a collegiate level athlete? I feel pretty confident in my skills because I am a pretty good bowler! So to possibly where green and white proudly on the lanes next year, would be the best part about my 4 years at Michigan State.
